help paying for the closing costs, you may want to consider utilizing "lender
paid closing costs". By paying a slightly higher interest rate, the lender
can afford to pay some of the costs associated with closing the loan. This
program may be available with both fixed and adjustable rate loans.
A note of caution - Do the math! It may be cheaper in the
long run to pay the closing costs yourself. Ask you lender to quote both
with and without closing costs. Multiply the payments by the number of
months the loan will be in effect in both programs to compare total costs.
